Tony Burke admits knowing the “Explosives Caravan” was fake.

Tony Burke knew about the “explosives caravan” being fake and never said a word for weeks. He amended hate laws and spoke about radicalisation, all the while knowing the attacks were fake. He introduced mandatory sentences while knowing the attacks were fake.

An Immediate Ceasefire.

Parliament is the official place of government business. When there was an opportunity to vote for a ceasefire at the UN, Australia abstained on a Humanitarian Truce. Further, Tony Burke did NOT call for an immediate and sustained ceasefire from Parliament. On two occasions, he and the Labor Party voted down motions for a ceasefire.

Condemnation.

Tony Burke did NOT condemn, by name, the war crimes committed by Israel in Gaza. He did, however, condemn someone in Bankstown for using the word Jihad. He talks about Islamophobia but engages in policies and political rhetoric that is conducive to hate motivated attacks against Muslims.

There is an alternative, and it is Independence.

This initiative is led primarily by community groups in the Watson electorate. More than 30 organisations, corporations and professionals have joined the movement to affect change. We are a grassroots community coming together to achieve genuine change for Australia. Multiple grassroots organisations have forged together after the 7th of October, 2023, with the urgency of the Australian government to act.

Tony Burke is the minister of one of the most multicultural communities in Australia. His areas are highly conservative, and if united, can impact the safe Labor seat of Watson. Historically, Tony has demonstrated that party politics overrides the voice of constituents. For example, Tony Burke also rejected unconditional ceasefire motions in parliament in the Genocide against Palestinians.
